Pastoral Centre - Student Personal File

This module enables respective boarding houses to record and monitor student details as well as build up and manage their conduct records.

Student Personal File is only available when populated from the Manage Students database of the BSS. The Student Personal file is intended to be a digital repository for notes, documents, images & written records of various formats. It could be a scanned document with all the serial numbers of the students electronic goods like computer, iPad, mobile phone or an email from parents about a lost item of clothing. This Student Personal file is similar to the well known Windows filing system and consists of a default folder created by the system. The name of this default folder is the name of the student. Manager gets to choose the format of these – preferred Name or Surname first.

This folder can have multiple folders inside of it and they can be arranged alphabetically or by date – as user chooses. They may be named “Communication from home” , “Sport”, “Items of safekeeping”, “Pictures from excursion” The number of folders in each student file would be limited only by the capacity of your Boarding House database. The application will show you the storage allowance and the storage you have used. It will also message you when this limit is reached. The size of the file is visible and is set in the Manage Managers section. All entries, file additions or deletions made here are attributed to the particular id of the person logging in, in a log file visible and managed by the Boarding Administrator. Options here for the various managers in the Manage Managers section include - “add files, delete files, view files & modify files”. These files are saved at an address on the Boarding Server or “C-Drive” or Cloud, as set up by the Administrator in the Manage Managers section.
